Alam-Kuh summit (4848m) is in Alborz mountain range north of Iran in Mazandaran province Kelardasht City (1107m). After Damavand(5610m) Alam- Kuh is the second highest summit in Iran. Having a steep and wall-shaped north face, Alam-Kuh is of great importance for professional climbers in the world.

There are some permanent glaciers and snow on the mountain. Melt down glacial ice and snow is a good resource of drinking water for people. Glacial snow also attracts tourists and skiers for skiing on the mountain.

Day 1. Airport Pickup: Your pickup depending on your flight time will be arranged and our agent will transfer you to a hotel for rest. O/N at a hotel in Tehran. Dinner included.

 

Day 2. Vandarbon Skiing: After your breakfast in hotel you will be transferred to Kelardasht a town (170 km from Tehran) in Mazandaran province, then to Roudbarak region to IMSCF (Iran Mountaineering & Sport Climbing Federation) lodge. Today you can prepare your ski equipment to start skiing in Vandarbon village. Lunch and dinner meals are also included for today. O/N at IMSCF lodge.

 

Day 3. Tange-Galu to Hesarchal Skiing: In the morning after a complete breakfast we’ll get ready to be transferred by 4WD vehicle to Tange-Galu(3260m). Uphill skiing towards Hesarchal(3750m). We have about 5 hours to reach Hesarchal plain. Lunch and dinner meals for today included. O/N in tent.

 

Day 4. Acclimatization: Ski in Hesarhal for acclimatization and stay overnight at tent. All meals included.

 

Day 5. Summit Day: Today we are ready for summiting. Early In the morning after an energetic breakfast prepare your equipment for going towards the summit. A lunch box for today has been prepared. At this day we will stand on 4848m Alam Kuh summit and ski down to Hesarchal & Tange-Galu for resting at the tent and eating dinner.

 

Day 6. Transfer to Tehran: After breakfast you can prepare your skis for skiing down to Vandarbon or let’s pack our backpack and get ready for the transfer to Vandarbon, Kelardasht and then to Tehran. Lunch included and dinner will be in hotel. O/N in hotel.

 

Day 7. Tehran City Tour: 2 or 3 historic places will be visited in Tehran the large capital city of Iran. O/N in hotel.

 

Day 8: Departure: Depending on your flight time a vehicle has been arranged to transfer you to IKA airport.  

Tehran: 3nights hotel

Roudbarak: 1 night IMSCF lodge

Hesarchal: 2nights tent

Tange- Galu: 1 night tent

Roads: Except for the road of Roudbarak to Vandarbon & Tange-Galu in which 4WD vehicles are driven, other roads of the trip are asphalted and in a proper condition.
